Sonoma County’s year-round farmers markets are the Santa Rosa Original market (Wednesdays and Saturdays), the Sonoma Valley market (Fridays), the Petaluma East Side market (Tuesdays) and the Sebastopol market (Sundays). Healdsburg, Windsor and Sonoma’s Tuesday night market run seasonally, roughly spring through fall. Hours below were checked in October 2026.

Markets are one of the simple pleasures of living here. Most stalls sell what was picked or made that week by the person behind the table, so the produce changes with the season. They are also a good way to get a feel for a town before you buy a home in it.

Schedules shift with the seasons and holidays, and locations occasionally move. Check the market’s own site or social page before you go.

Santa Rosa: two markets, two days each

Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers Market

This market runs year-round on Wednesday and Saturday mornings in the west lot of the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, off Mark West Springs Road. It is one of the county’s largest, with produce, meat, eggs, baked goods, flowers and prepared food. Saturday is the busier day.

Santa Rosa Community Farmers Market

The Community market also runs Wednesdays and Saturdays and currently sets up at Farmers Lane Plaza in southeast Santa Rosa. Local public radio reported in 2026 that the market needs a new site because a grocery store is planned for the center in 2027. A return to the Veterans Memorial Building on Saturdays was one option mentioned. Check before you go.

Sonoma: Friday mornings and Tuesday nights

The Sonoma Valley Certified Farmers Market meets every Friday morning, year-round, in the Arnold Field parking lot at 241 First Street West, a short walk from the Plaza. It is a good place to stock up for the weekend or a picnic.

From about May through September, the Tuesday Night Market takes over the Plaza in front of City Hall from 5 to 8 p.m. Expect farm stands, prepared food and a crowd that stays to eat on the lawn. Read more about life and homes in Sonoma.

Healdsburg: Saturday and Tuesday

Healdsburg’s certified market has a Saturday morning market from April 11 to December 20, 2026, and a Tuesday market from May 12 to September 29, 2026. Both are held at the Foley Family Community Pavilion downtown. Healdsburg sits among vineyards and orchards, so expect stone fruit and berries in summer and apples and squash in fall. See Healdsburg real estate.

Petaluma, Sebastopol and Windsor

The East Side market runs every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lucchesi Park, 320 North McDowell Boulevard, year-round and rain or shine.

Sebastopol’s Sunday market runs year-round in the downtown plaza on Weeks Way. Alongside produce from west county farms, it has crafts, prepared food and music. West county is known for apples, so fall is a good time to visit. Browse Sebastopol homes.

Windsor’s Sunday market runs on the Town Green from early April through early December. In summer, a Thursday evening market joins the Summer Nights concerts on the Green from June through August. See Windsor real estate.

Using CalFresh and Market Match

Many markets accept CalFresh EBT at the market manager’s table. Through Market Match, participating markets match CalFresh spending dollar for dollar up to a daily limit, which varies by market. Matched dollars buy fruits, vegetables and edible plant starts. Sonoma County Human Services can answer questions at (877) 699-6868.

Tips for a better market morning

  • Arrive early for the best selection, or late for end-of-day deals.
  • Bring small bills, reusable bags and a cooler in summer.
  • Ask growers when an item peaks. They will tell you.
  • Check market rules before bringing a dog; many do not allow them.
